Spotted this on a tree near the entrance to a local park. The entrance is near a motorway bridge, and it was surrounded by bunches of sunflowers attached to the trees with letters to a young local man who had committed suicide a couple of years ago. The letters were from his father expressing how sorry he was that he didn’t help his son.
As the poster says, many many men suffer suicidal thoughts for one reason or another, either because of abuse, personal situation, depression or otherwise. Thankfully the days of the ‘pull yourself together’ stock reply are rapidly becoming a thing of the past.

Crossways Tobacconist in Cromer, North Norfolk. This was only one of two frames shot, as it was literally a “spot the scene, quickly fire up the camera” before he moved (which he did, on the third frame).

I just love the juxtaposition, or the irony, or whatever you want to call it.

The new bus station on Paradise Street, Liverpool. Nice new paint, furniture, and fixtures and fittings. It was quite refreshing to see a bus station that wasn’t covered in dog-ends, urine stains, and random drunken people.

Taken at the bottom of the pathway near the infamous “Ferry across the Mersey”, where this shot was taken.

I’m going to be brave with this one. It was taken after the Shoot Liverpool event had finished, and Tom, Pete, and I were walking back to the car park, cameras in hand. I think the subject is actually an air vent from some bar on the Albert Dock. Taken, contrast and saturation boosted, straightened (ever so slightly…I almost got it spot on in camera which pleased me).
Is it one of those Marmite shots, in that you love it or hate it? Or is it just rubbish…..Feel free to pull no punches and tell me what you think, I’m a big boy and can take it
