Taken a couple of years ago on a TP Meet in North Wales. This is another shot I never got round to blogging at the time. Not 100% sure on the processing, but hey ho….it’s not getting any more tweaking.

Went to Gibson Mill last week (as per my previous blog post), with JimmyLemon. This was taken further down the path to the previous shot. I did attempt a much more saturated version of this, but it really looked incredibly busy (too much so). Nor did complete mono / black & white work either.

I went to Hardcastle Crags today with Tom Holmes in the hope of capturing some of the lovely autumnal colours that are abound at this time of year. After a short walk down towards Gibson Mill, we stopped to take some photos of the leaf-covered pathway.

This has had minimal post processing (as usual, hover over for the original). Just lifting the tones and popping the colours a little.
Also, something I’m pleased with…..absolutely no cropping at all.
It may not be to everyone’s tastes, but it’s rare I ‘spot’ a photo then end up with something that resembles my imagination. This was one of those successful times, it’s exactly how I imagined it.

Spotted this on a tree near the entrance to a local park. The entrance is near a motorway bridge, and it was surrounded by bunches of sunflowers attached to the trees with letters to a young local man who had committed suicide a couple of years ago. The letters were from his father expressing how sorry he was that he didn’t help his son.
As the poster says, many many men suffer suicidal thoughts for one reason or another, either because of abuse, personal situation, depression or otherwise. Thankfully the days of the ‘pull yourself together’ stock reply are rapidly becoming a thing of the past.
