Taken during a trip to Whitby and Saltburn last August, with Jimmy Lemon. This was taken just as the sun was setting through Saltburn Pier, casting a beautiful orange glow everywhere.

I went up to the Lake District yesterday with some friends.
Some cracking views, landscapes and scenery all around. Weather was in our favour too, and we ended the day at Rigg Wood pier in Coniston.
A really enjoyable day and I learned quite alot photographically too.

Today was the annual TalkPhotography North West meet. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I couldn’t make it. I was still in the mood to take some photographs so popped to Pennington Flash (a local nature reserve) with another fellow photographer, Gaz Eddleston, to wait for the sun set. We spotted some rather interesting debris by the waters edge.

A silhouetted tree against a sunset with some cloud definition. It’s like the bangers and mash of the photography world. Real comfort food for the mojo.

I went to the Sunderland Airshow on Sunday with two friends, Tom and Gary.
Afterwards we took a ride over to Penshaw Monument to see if there was a nice sunset.
While we were waiting in a nearby McDonalds, the clouds started to move and bring about some definition, letting some sunlight through so we decided to go up to the monument.
Well the walk up nearly killed me, but the view was worth it in the end. The sky had a really beautiful deep colour to it, which set looked really nice set against the lit architecture.

This is a reprocessed version of an earlier shot, which was well recieved be readers first time round.

This is a revisited version of the shot from the other day ‘Footsteps to Sunshine‘.
I think this version has come out better. I sent three different exposures from one original RAW file this time, through Photomatix, to create an HDR image, which was then Tone Mapped and processed in Photoshop.
