An overwhelming tiredness and children put paid to that idea (OK, I won’t blame the kids…I was simply too tired to, and by the time I mustered up the energy, the sun had gone to bed).

So I took the above shot. It actually hit upon me this afternoon. While my 7 yr old daughter was using my PC to email her friend in spain, and my son was having his afternoon nap (Like father, like son), I took the time to catch up on my photography magazine stash with a cup of coffee.
Well, upon reading the December issue of Digital Photo magazine, they had a big article on black and white, and when I read it, I immediately thought of this shot.

Not much to say about it really. I tried a number of crops, orientations and angles, and none of them felt quite right. On the offchance, I thought “I’ll try a square crop” and I immediately thought it looked better.
What grabbed me about the shot before I even took it was the amount of angles, lines, and straight edges, all leading into each other.

Well, who knows….does it work? Answers on a postcard please.

Tomorrow is Friday, we may have a sunset challenge on the forums tomorrow. Although that may be postponed. I may try for a proper outdoor venture tomorrow, providing the weather holds up and the gods play nice.
Until tomorrow!

[15,18,21,22,10

post-24","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-architecture","category-indoor","category-light","category-mono","category-urban
["GET
