Imaginitive title eh?
Well, my family and I have just come back from our very first holiday (I’ve been with my wife for 12 years, and never been away together….I think we were long overdue one).
Thanks to Raising Kids, where I am a forum moderator and regular (due to me being a house husband), we were given the chance to stay at a top notch holiday home at Kelling Heath Holiday Park in Weybourne, Norfolk.

And what a lovely week we had, as a family.
I’m unashamed to say, I had a brilliant week as a photographer. Arriving on the monday, my creative juices started to flow, and didn’t really stop until the end of the week. My wife was brilliantly patient though, as were my kids, and they allowed me to fill memory card after memory card full of photos.

This is the first shot from the processed ones (I think I like around 50 enough to process and ‘display’ them, which is a rather good hit rate I think).
Not far from where we were staying is Weybourne beach, a 1.5km long shingle beach, which, according to my brochure is unsafe for bathing, but with strop undercurrents.
On a whim, I decided we should take a drive up there, and as we arrived at about 6:30pm, the sun was starting to set, and it was soon to be the photographers “Golden Hour”. It gave lovely side lighting on everything, and a lovely bright atmosphere. Absolutely beautiful to watch, especially after the very recent rainfall, and watching the rainclouds make way for the sunshine. I could have brought a flask and a chair and stayed there until sundown, but unfortunately my kids were hungry so I only spent about an hour.

This is a shot of a tractor and a boat (hence the title). From the state of them, I would have said they were disused (especially the tractor), but looking inside the cab, I wasn’t too sure, there was evidence of some ‘new’ wiring, and what not, so Im not completely convinced it was out of action.

Still, with the lovely beautiful sky, my polariser, it was gorgeous to look at, and take photographs of 🙂
