Wasn’t sure what to call this today, so I settled on simply “Colourful and light” (A slight play on the word ‘light’ there I suppose).

I know I did promise to venture outside for todays shot, but unfortunately, I got a phone call from a friend of my sister, asking me to fix her PC. That took most of the day, so I was once again bound to the confines of darkness, shelter, and artificial light.

Again, I was wandering around (much to the bemusement of my wife who asked me “What *are* you doing?”, to which I replied “looking for today’s shot”. After which she understood completely.)
Anyway, after wandering around, I hit upon a tube of glowsticks I purchased some months ago, that I bought from the £1 shelf, with the specific purpose of photography in mind. They were forgotten about until now.
After playing around with a setup, which involved a wine glass, a reflective metal beaker, some water, and a water spray, I ended up with the above shot.

I know some photographers may baulk at the idea of this, but I aim to let my attemps at photography inspire not only me, but hopefully inspire some others too. Already a few people have said to me that a photo a day challenge is something worthy of praise, and they are inspired to do similar projects.
Therefore, in the hope it helps…I’m going to occasionally post the setup to each shot, to show you what the original scene looked like. Just so people can see what can be achieved with a little creative thought and minimal manipulation.

Anyway, tomorrow is my 30th birthday, so I will certainly plan tomorrow’s photo to be based around that.

As per usual……Until tomorrow!

Kind Regards

Marcel, Aged 29 and 364/365ths

Colourful and light
